ALL-BOND 2 continues to set the standard in bonding systems worldwide with its revolutionary adhesion technology. Nearly 200 published scientific articles and abstracts prove this system works.
It is the most versatile adhesive system available, providing dentists with one dual-cure bonding system for all bonding needs. Post-operative sensitivity is virtually eliminated.
ALL SURFACE BONDING
ALL-BOND 2 provides dentists with one bonding system which is extremely effective for dentin, enamel, amalgam, porcelain, composite and all metals - both precious and non-precious. ALL-BOND 2 is dual-curing, meaning that it may be used for all bonding procedures - both direct and indirect. This offers distinct advantages: one system does composite restorations, crowns, bridges, posts, amalgam restorations, porcelain repair, and root desensitizing.
"MOIST BONDING"
ALL-BOND 2 is the first system to facilitate excellent bonding in a wet/moist (referring to water and not blood or saliva) environment. ALL-BOND 2 primers contain hydrophilic monomers in an acetone solvent, which provide a "water-chasing" ability. When applied to a water-moistened surface, ALL-BOND 2 primers actually displace the moisture present, allowing for deep penetration of resins into dentin tubules and across the entire surface. A hybrid layer of resin and dentin is created which not only forms a strong bond, but also completely seals the dentin/enamel surface, virtually eliminating micro-leakage and post operative sensitivity.
EASY TO USE
Each ALL-BOND 2 introductory kit comes complete with a detailed set of plasticized technique cards.
COMPATIBILITY
ALL-BOND 2 is compatible with any type of composite material, both light and chemical (self) cure.
PATENTED CHEMISTRY
The prominence of ALL-BOND 2 is due largely to the uniqueness of Primer B which contains Bisco's proprietary chemical compound BiPhenyl Dimethacrylate (BPDM). BPDM features a double benzene ring structure which provides more freedom of rotation for higher monomer conversion rates (two directional cross-linking). The result is more consistent and complete curing reactions than with single benzene ring primers found in most other systems, as well as better molecular contact to the bonded surface.
FEATURES:
Primer A
PRIMER A contains NTG-GMA resin in an acetone solvent. Mixing with PRIMER B yields a dual-curing primer which creates high-bond strengths to all dental substrates and is particularly effective at sealing dentin tubules, to eliminate post-operative sensitivity.
Components: NTG-GMA(2.1%), acetone, ethanol and water.
PRIMER B
PRIMER B is the key component in the success of ALL BOND 2 . It contains BPDM (Biphenyl Dimethacrylate), a chemical structure unique to BISCO adhesives, and offers extremely tenacious bond strengths to all substrates. BPDM creates dentistry's highest bond strengths with dentin, enamel, porcelain, composite and metal.
Components: BPDM(24%), acetone, ethanol and photoinitiator.
D/E RESIN (Dentin/Enamel Resin)
A light-curing, unfilled resin, D/E RESIN is used to bond composite materials to various primed substrates. Or, mix it with PRE-BOND RESIN to create a dual-curing unfilled resin that cures in three minutes - a combination that makes amalgam bonding and a fracture repair a breeze!
Components: Bis-GMA, HEMA, photoinitiator (CQ) and amine activator.
PRE-BOND RESIN
PRE-BOND is unfilled resin used in conjunction with D/E BOND RESIN to create dual-curing resin, and is used alone as a wetting agent in crown and bridge procedures.
Components: Bis-GMA, HEMA and Benzoyl Peroxide.
Functions:
PRE-BOND provides a wetting layer between the ALL-BOND 2 primers and the luting cement, which helps maximize bond strengths.
PRE-BOND acts as a dual-curing catalyst when mixed with D/E RESIN.
PRE-BOND contains peroxide, which temporarily blocks the highly reactive amines present in the oxygen inhibited layer from the adhesive primers, thus providing more working time and preventing "snap-setting" of resin cements.
As a result, the presence of PRE-BOND over a primed post, crown, or bridge preparation ensures sufficient time for seating and avoids a sudden, fast set.
