BISCO’s Etchants utilize a polymer filler to create thixotropic properties and enhance handling characteristics, thereby leaving NO silica debris on the etched surface. Residual silica may impede the flow of primer and/or resin over the surface or into the dentinal tubules.
This formulation is available with three concentrations of phosphoric acid: 10%, 32% and 37%. All three concentrations are indicated for simultaneous use on dentin and enamel to produce the necessary microretentive surface characteristics for successful bonding. All three are available with the antimicrobial agent benzalkonium chloride (BAC).
TYRIAN™ SPE (Self-Priming Etchant) is BISCO’s newest entry in this category. TYRIAN SPE is a truly universal primer/etchant combination with capabilities equivalent to phosphoric acid.
