< Bonding Porcelain Veneers in 2010: Advancing from Good to Excellent >
Longitudinal observations of porcelain veneers reveal an overwhelming success, if the basic principles of bonding and minimal invasive procedure for the preservation
Skepticism surrounding the durability of these restorations is being replaced by sound confidence. New products and technologies have been developed not only
but also to reduce and prevent undesirable failures. Bonded Ceramic Restorations in 2010 is an in-depth look at concepts and products developed during the last
of porcelain restorations
This course is designed to provide participants with practical and clinical information on bonded ceramic restorations in light of current scientific information and
Emphasis will be placed on enhancing the durability of these restorations using evidence-based information, technological advancements and new products.
Dr. Nasser Barghi, Professor, Head, Division of Esthetic Dentistry, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio has authored and co-authored more than 250 articles and abstracts

< The Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth > An overview of the concepts through the eyes of an
endodontist and of a restorative dentist
Coure Description:
The principles of the restoration of the endodontically treated
teeth have evolved. It is well recognized today that a post does
not reinforce an endodontically treated tooth. When a tooth has
been suering from extensive caries or trauma, the post and
core serves as an anchorage to oer retention and resistance to
dislodgement for the future coronary restoration.
When the remaining coronary tooth structure is insucient, it
has to be restored with a prefabricated post and a coronary
reconstruction, or a cast post and core. During this presentation,
concepts surrounding the use of post and core will be
reviewed and illustrated with clinical cases.

< The Magic of Composites?Function & Aesthetics > -hands-on course
Esthetics is driving more treatment than ever
before. However, it is important to provide
patients with conservative and affordable
options to achieve those beautiful and natural
smiles. Proper utilization of composite resin
systems can provide wonderful solutions to
recreate the beauty of a natural dentition.
This lecture and hands-on workshop will
present simple and predictable tips to achieve
consistent esthetic results utilizing current
materials and technologies with direct
composites.
This course will cover: • how to evaluate various direct composite
materials so as to select the most
appropriate for each situation
• practical techniques to make posterior
direct restorations more natural looking
• techniques to reproduce natural contours
for posterior restorations
• techniques to create proper contact areas
and embrasures
